Mayian Women Organization (MAWO) is a community-based NGO dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of Maasai women and girls. We focus on breaking barriers caused by harmful social norms and limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Through empowerment, advocacy, and partnerships, we help women and girls lead self-determined, dignified lives.
We support access to quality education and mentorship for young Maasai girls to help them achieve their full potential.
We work with community leaders and partners to challenge harmful cultural practices and promote gender equality.
We equip women with skills, training, and opportunities to improve their livelihoods and leadership roles.
We develop sustainable initiatives to strengthen women’s economic independence and family well-being.
